DIY Montessori ball for babies

DIY Montessori ball for babies: These balls are perfect for babies, all parents following the Montessori method love them.

Besides, I used fabric scraps from other #diy projects, that means #zerowaste!

-DIY Montessori ball in 6 steps:

1. Cut 9 cercles of fabric: I made 6 corduroy cercles and 3 coloured cercles. The corduroy fabric will give another texture to discover for the babies. The cercles are 15cm /diameter

2. Cut all cercles in four pieces.

Valencia’s gems. Serendipity for travels

Valencia’s gems, Serendipity for travels: The last views on other Instagram feeds were full of colorful places, dreamy pictures here and there, Burano, Dubai, Lisbon, London, Prague…

Sometimes you would follow literally the steps of those travel bloggers and take THAT picture…just like them.

But we forgot that we can find beauty every where, look around you like you were visiting as a tourist, just like you’ve never been there.

In our last holiday we couldn’t make a trip to Verona or Lisbon, but we’ve found some pieces of them in just one destination.

Visiting Valencia we found some hidden places away from the crowd but as adorable as all those instagramable cities.

-The harbour “Saplaya” , with colorful houses,  who doesn’t love that!

-Manisas and all of these wonderful tiles …

-Couldn’t miss a stroll on the streets of “El barrio del Carmen” , to enjoy the beauty of the old city, the kindness of people there and some sustainable shopping on its shops of vintage and thrifted clothes.

-Nearby you can find a piece of paradise on the valencian Albufera natural park, for nature lovers.

Hope you liked these places and Valencia’s gems Serendipity for travels article.

Crayola lip balm recipe

Crayola lip balm recipe: perfect zerowaste lip balm for that spring!

The summer is slowly arriving and maybe that’s the reason why suddenly last week I wanted to put some color in my lips.

But what kind of lipbalm could I find without toxic ingredients, or healthy ones?

I had beeswax (I buy it here) and coconut oil left over of my last homemade cream, (you can find the recipe here) for the moisturizer and repairing properties, and for the color I found out that we can use some Crayola (I used some scraps of Manley colors that we buy in Spain for my daughter).

Some vitE will protect the lips and preserve the balm.

I had all the ingredients so I was ready to try:

I just heat the coconut oil and the beeswax to the water bath, slowly stirring, and added the color. Removed from heat and added the vitE, mixed it and put in a lip balm bottle.

Just wait a little and when the mix is solid it’s ready to use.

It’s easy and very quick to make, so I will probably try another one with another shade color and essential oils.

Hope yo liked it!

Dress into matching skirts

Dress into matching skirts: If you liked the first my first upcycling (the black embroidered skirts) I hope you will also enjoy those matching outfits “mother& daughter” that I made from a thrifted long dress.

These “before&after” projects are perfect to practice my sewing skills, I can #twin with my baby and that’s my way to keep an #ecofriendly lifestyle with a #sustainablefashion.

The length of this dress gave me fabric enough to keep the top for me as a dress and the bottom to make a cute overalls for my daughter.

I found the pattern for the baby overalls on www.ohmotherminediy.com, that talented mum of two who has great free patterns on her website.

For this project I’ve choose this pattern:

For all of you wondering about, I buy thrifted clothes on www.vinted.fr and I also always looking for that rummaging on Sunday market’s. Sometimes people have only used clothes once, so they are almost new on a perfect state.

Californian vibes in France

Californian vibes in France : In the South French East coast there is a place where I like to go when I have wanderlust feelings, when I need to feel far away from home but I can’t leave the routine.

It is a beach called “les chalets” (Gruissan) and it is one of those revitalizing sites who gives some kind of good energy.

Californian vibes in France

Plus, it is a Californian ambiance there, to make you feel like discovering an exotic far away spot.
