Diy customized t-shirts!

DIY customized t-shirts: Today in France we celebrate father’s day! And I had another idea for a #diy gift, I really hope you like it because I kinda love it!

I always look for fun “best dad” t-shirts for that day but it needs to be slow fashion: two years ago I upcycled a t-shirt with fabric pens, last year I found a thrifted one, and this year I found the best way to customize a t-shirt. I made some fun printables and using transfer paper I made our own DIY customized t-shirts. And the result is pretty good, so I am sharing here today the templates that I made: just scroll down and download them for free!

It’s the first time that I use transfer paper, but it’s really easy: be sure to buy it for white fabrics (blue ones) because my templates are black. Take one paper sheet, print the template of your choice, cut it and iron it (wait 30′ between each step) Let cool and remove the paper: ta-dah! I made the matching t-shirts and will try more !

Hope you like it!xoxo

Recycling tshirts

Recycling tshirts: Lately I have been decluttering our closets and found lots of t-shirts that were ready to be upcycled. There are lots of things to do with old t-shirts (I actually have started to share some ideas on Instagram and pinterest) and today I am going to share that fun project, with pompoms involved too!

I had lots of yarn stocked for years that I wanted to use because I have cero time for knitting (and no patience ?) so I first made a few pompoms with that yarn and then use the fabric of an old t-shirt to make a cushion.

I used these colors for the girls room but I’ll maybe try other cushions for our living room as well.

Nothing really hard here,it’s a simple project and you can do it without the pompoms with other fabrics like old jumpers etc

I just used the Tshirt and cute a round shape, sew to create the cushion and added the cushions. you can try other shapes like stars,a moon etc

It’s a really simple project to recycle fabric

Shadow puppets printable

Shadow puppets printables: It’s time for a new freebie! So happy to share this one for you all! Days are longer now and bedtime start a bit later at the moment, and it’s the perfect time to add a bit of magic to our story time,so we play with shadows and puppets, the best part? You can do these puppets yourself, recycling cardboards and popsicle sticks?

Shadow puppets are a great activity for kids, I made the first ones for the second birthday of my girl and I wanted to make a few more now that the little one can join the fun too.

They love fantasy characters so I made their favorites: unicorns, fairies, queens and princesses, dragons and princes.

You can print them and laminate them, or use cardboards like I did and add popsicle sticks. You can also color them if you want to, or the kids can do it for more fun?

Vegan and sugar free strawberry jam

How about a strawberry jam without sugar? We found that recipe and it’s amazing, you’re going to love!

You just need chia seeds, strawberries and honey. We always use ecological honey but if you want to ou can use agave syrup (or maple, your choice)

Blend 20gr of chia seeds,25 gr of honey and 250 gr of strawberries. Put it in a sterilized jar and let chill 6 hours in the fridge (this way the chia seeds will gelify)

Pie Carrier tote

Pie Carrier tote! Welcome June! I can’t believe that half a year has passed already!

Summer is slowly coming and today I want to share that pie carrier tote,it’s a great zerowaste tool in order to avoid disposable bags or aluminum foil, and perfect for picnics! And it’s cute ?.

So easy to sew, just two pieces of fabric and two straps as handles:

Pin the straps to the short edges of the rectangle towards the inside. Now place the second large rectangle on top, right side down. Pin around all edges.Stitch the two rectangles together leaving a small opening (is like sewing a cushion, you’ll turn the fabric inside out there). Now fold the two short sides towards the center. Sew a seam around the new rectangle and the bag will be finished!

No Need a complicated pattern here, just cut two straps 15×5 cm and two rectangles 80x45cm and that’s it! So easy ?.

Having a slow waste lifestyle isn’t really hard, we have removed almost all kind of disposable times at home and it’s easier and actually handier for us that way.

Hope you liked it! Have a great new month ??Sara xx

Toilet paper rolls seed starter pots

Toilet paper rolls seed starter pots: our first try recycling paper rolls to grow our seeds. We planted lettuce, tomatoes, broccoli, and potatoes the girls loved the harvesting and they were so yummy! Here you can see one of the zucchinis and broccolis?

We added for the photo our favorites of the season: artichokes and spinaches !

The toilet paper rolls hack worked so well as Starter seed! We are now waiting for strawberries, tomatoes, lettuce and also pumpkins ?

Do you plant something in spring? We would love to have a big garden but these are great too for our terrace.

Wishing you a great month of June!xx
