Facial tea tree and calendula soap

Today was one of those days…you run all day, you get frustrated because you think that you had nothing done, everything is “half-finisfhed” and at the end of the day you are tired, frustrated and you feel guilty because you think that nothing was achieved.

When I feel like that I try to make a list with all the chores/things that I actually done.

Usually I only think about it, but today I am going to write it here:

?I did my homemade laundry detergent

?I cooked two recipes, one of them with my daughter (no nap for her today,it took us almost two hours, but it was fun)

?I cleaned the mess after cooking (#cookwithtoddlers)

?I breastfeeded and had quality time with my newborn all the time that she was awake

?I tidied the house

?I made my henna hair

?I finished a collage picture frame

?Edited some pictures on my phone

?I am writing now on my stationary bike (at least 20 minutes to exercising/day)

?And I also made homemade soap bars. And that’s why I am writing now, to note the recipe here.

I found a new way to made those soap bars, a very easy recipe with only three ingredients.

I just needed (all from Aroma-Zone.fr)

-100 gr of meltandpour,

-5ml of calendula

-and 42 drops of tea tree.

This time I want to try mini bars, in order to have more of them and collect them all on a glass container.

I want to use them as a visage soap so it’s going to be better to have more smaller bars than just a big one.

That’s it, I hope you’ve enjoyed and when you feel frustrated about your day always remember that you certainly did great things (and small things also count, sometimes more than those you think that are bigger).

DIY Bunny bag

DIY bunny bagDIY bunny bag: Yesterday I was working on my sewing machine and suddenly I had lots of ideas. When I have this kind of inspiration I need to finish all the projects as soon as possible, so find myself using every minute spare of the day crafting and achieving all these ideas ?.Today I am just going to share some pictures of one of those projects,a small DIY bunny bag.My daughter loves to explore the nature and when we go outside we always need a bag so we can collect all the treasures that we found (stones, leafs etc) So I decided to sew a bag specially for her. A cute one ?, and I thought about a bunny, so I added ears!

I had scraps of fabric that I didn’t want to throw away and that was the perfect size for it. For that kind of bag you only need 2 squares of fabric, 2squares of linen, and 4ovals for the ears .

You just need to sew the squares and ears and add the handle. It’s a cute handbag for toddlers and really easy to sew.

HandBags assortment

[wpvideo AdKOYfnU data-temp-aztec-id=”8d3178f7-b261-466f-b396-d2d98719d95a”]

There is a #diy that I made last year and I always forgot to share, basically because I am always using those bags and it’s hard to take some good pictures of them!

It’s another #upcycled item, with old jeans, and also #zerowaste because the small bags are Handbags assortment: handmade bags assortment made with leftovers of fabric. In today’s post I ant to show you how I made these handbags recycling scraps and Destock fabrics.

With the pockets of the jeans and leftovers of rustic fabric I made a big bag in order to have room enough inside for all the things we can use for travel, and it can be used as diaper bag.

I made two more bags, one of them round because I love this style and I also tried to make a belt pouch .

All of them have 2rings to hold the handle and I use just one handle for all of them. This way I can switch when I want to.

I use them all the time, and I take them on our travels and they are really useful. I am thinking of make another one on a medium size, I’ll keep you updated ?

Hope you liked these handbags assortment!

Layette essentials

Layette essentials: Remember when I told you I was nesting? I had in my mind a bunch of diy projects, with some fabric that I bought especially for this event.

These are just some items, really easy to sew.

I already shared with you the rabbit teether, bonnet and cover diaper .

I made two bonnets, for my first born and for the new born. So I decided to make a matching short for my first born.

And I remembered that I used nursing reusable pads when I breastfed my daughter so I decided to make some of them by my own.

And finally a mattress cover, easier than I could thought!

I hope that you liked these layette essentials, and that maybe you’ll give them a try!

Canola fields

[wpvideo IWx9kmzz data-temp-aztec-id=”a97ef97a-0585-4a88-a1c2-5f312ad7d137″]

Last weekend we found the loveliest field, endless yellow canola blooms. I was already sure that I couldn’t take any pregnancy picture surrounded by those flowers because usually those fields bloom later, but we found this small one by surprise on our way home after a day spent by the lake.

I am just going to share some of those pictures, even if I’ll post them on Instagram next days.

Skin care

Today I im sharing here my must products for a healthy skin .I love the simple things. That’s maybe why I love natural products, without a long list of ingredients and undescribable names.

Both pregnancy and pediatric worlds can make a great business for all kind of products, cosmetics or gadgets.

And for the cosmetics part, you actually don’t need lots of creams nor for avoid stretch marks or for baby care. Besides those products are usually full of toxic ingredients like endocrine disruptors.

So that’s why I only use vegetable oils to keep my skin hydrated and try to avoid stretch marks ( even if that’s a natural consequence and sometimes we just can’t do anything to avoid them, and on another side we need to embrace all those skin signs, natural changes that shouldn’t be ashaming. It’s just the prove that our bodies can do great things)

The main products at the moment that I use to moisture my skin are the following vegetable oils, just be sure to choose an ecological brand, it’s a sustainable way to avoid pesticides :

Coconut oil

1. Coconut oil. We can find it everywhere and the coconut oil can improve the moisture content of the skin.

Macadamia oil

2. Macadamia oil: it has been shown to slow the signs of ageing and has also been used to improve the appearance of scars, sunburn and other minor skin irritations. Perfect to prevent stretch marks.

Huile de cheveux Aroma-Zone

3. Here I have eight in one,it’s actually a hair care but I love all those oils, with castoroil, Coconut, Amla, Avocado, Olive, Broccoli, Jojoba and Mustard, giving strength, nourishing and repairing natural hair with ease.

Huile de lin

4. Flaxseed oil. Helps to minimise skin irritation, redness and inflammation of any sort.

Voilà, I don’t need much more to keep my skin hydrated, just need some time to apply and also be sure to have a healthy lifestyle and drink the correct amount of water.

Hope you liked this!
