Olive leaf wreath: Holidays, childhood, olive and orange trees,Mediterranean vibes.
I wanted to try those baby bath flowers and suddenly thought about a leaf wreath instead of the flowers.
I really loved the result so here they are some photos! It was our first sink bath as we were at my parents and it was the perfect size for the baby. The window light there is so pretty that I just needed to try!
The baby enjoyed her bath and I loved to create that wreath for her! Hope you liked it x
Diy sunbonnets: I am so happy to share another refashioned project! And I must say I am pretty proud of this one.
I love baby bonnets. I’ve tried some different patterns but never was 100% satisfied with the result.
Then I was looking for embroidered fabric in order to sew two matched bonnets for my daughters, and unexpectedly found a beautiful thrifted shirt with the colors that I wanted: perfect! I could try a new pattern and make an upcycled item
And all turned perfectly.
I had enough fabric for two bonnets, the colors can match with lots of outfits, the embroideries are lovely and it was super easy to sew.

Handmade tassels: I’ve just tried them! Whatever you want a keychain, a wall decoration or handbag accessories, tassels are so trendy now…and I had no idea that they were THAT easy!
You actually just need scissors, cardboard, some thread or yarn (scraps are great to make tassels!)
I tried with that cotton thread and used a cardboard from a ribbon that I bought, it was the perfect size for the tassel that I wanted to make. You can also use forks or other cardboards from packagings. Always think about recycling something first!
First step cover the cardboard with threat making circles
2nd step cut both sides and tie in the middle
3rd step: use the tie as handle and join both sides on the bottom
Choose other accessories to customize your tassels
Done! I added some wooden pearls
I used the first one to customize my halfmoon handbag, remember that one? Give a boho touch and it’s easier to use the zipper.
I have seen so many cute crafts with tassels for each season, for Halloween you can create ghosts with handmade tassels and they can also make a nice decoration for Christmas, like ornaments for the Christmas tree ?.
I usually have lots of scraps from thread and yarn that I will be using for different decorations, and I will try to make some of them with the girls,it could be a great fine motor skills activity! Would you try? If you do,share it and tag me (you can follow me on Instagram @scraps.and.coffee.grounds)

Now that I am a mother, I see things differently. And I enjoy much more the little things, always trying to look life through the eyes of a child. The dandelions, for example, that my girls love, give us so much joy during our walks. It’s always a nice surprise to find one.
I had forgotten how they evolve, from the yellow flower to the silky round capsule. We usually talk about the Phoenix transformation or even the butterfly cycle, but I dandelions are less common. Now motherhood reminds me of them. Our society makes us believe that beauty is in that immature phase of our life, like a fresh yellow flower. But if it is chosen, then comes motherhood with that soft white cocoon that makes any child dream. Mysterious and even prettier than the first yellow flower.
