Motherhood and pissenlits ?<\/p>\n
Now that I am a mother, I see things differently. And I enjoy much more the little things, always trying to look life through the eyes of a child. The dandelions, for example, that my girls love, give us so much joy during our walks. It’s always a nice surprise to find one.<\/p>\n
I had forgotten how they evolve, from the yellow flower to the silky round capsule. We usually talk about the Phoenix transformation or even the butterfly cycle, but I dandelions are less common. Now motherhood reminds me of them. Our society makes us believe that beauty is in that immature phase of our life, like a fresh yellow flower. But if it is chosen, then comes motherhood with that soft white cocoon that makes any child dream. Mysterious and even prettier than the first yellow flower.
