And it&#8217;s amazing! A vibrant color with a earthy taste that I love to mix with mint and basil leaves. Here&#8217;s the recipe!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1147\" height=\"1434\" src=\"http:\/\/test.scrapsandcoffeegrounds.comwp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/8ad1c-img_20230606_181749_5482533571207846373604.jpg?w=819&amp;h=1024\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6129\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The recipe:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\"><br><br>Ingredients:<br>&#8211; 2 \u00bd cups all-purpose flour<br>&#8211; 1 packet (2 \u00bc tsp) active dry yeast<br>&#8211; 1 tsp salt<br>&#8211; 1 cup warm water<br>&#8211; 2 tbsp olive oil<br>&#8211; \u00bd cup beetroot puree (for that lovely pink hue)<br>&#8211; Fresh rosemary sprigs (optional)<br>&#8211; Sea salt flakes (for sprinkling)<br>&#8211; Freshly ground black pepper (to taste)<br><br>Instructions:<br>1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, yeast, and salt. Mix well.<br>2. Make a well in the center and pour in the warm water and olive oil. Stir until a sticky dough forms.<br>3. Add the beetroot puree to the dough and mix until it&#8217;s evenly distributed and the color is consistent.<br>4. Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.<br>5. Grease a clean bowl with olive oil, place the dough in it, and cover with a damp cloth. Allow it to rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.<br>6. Preheat your oven to 400\u00b0F (200\u00b0C).<br>7. Once the dough has risen, punch it down to release any air bubbles. Transfer it to a greased baking sheet or a parchment-lined baking pan.<br>8. Using your fingertips, gently press the dough to create dimples all over the surface. This will help absorb the flavors.<br>9. If desired, top the focaccia with fresh rosemary sprigs and sprinkle sea salt flakes over it.<br>10. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the focaccia turns golden brown.<br>11. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing.<br>12. Sprinkle freshly ground black pepper over the slices for an extra kick of flavor.<br>13.
