January 6th it&#8217;s a bank holiday in Spain:we celebrate the Epiphany. The kids receive gifts from the three kings and we eat &#8220;el rosc\u00f3n de reyes&#8221; a delicious king&#8217;s cake. Inside the cake you can find &#8220;a prize&#8221;. Whoever gets the f\u00e8ve will pay the meal and the one finding a figurine will be the king ( that&#8217;s the reason why the cakes are sold with a paper crown ?) <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A similar tradition in France,where just Santa brings gifts but we also eat la galette des rois, with just one feve,the one who find it,will be the king?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I was thinking about trying to make the king&#8217;s cake for the first time,(you know,here it&#8217;s all about Handmade stuff) but we also needed our crowns,so I immediately found some cardboard to upcycle and repurpose into these new crowns,the best January activity with the kids?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"936\" height=\"1385\" src=\"http:\/\/test.scrapsandcoffeegrounds.comwp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/image_editor_output_image1045813643-1610633123060.jpeg?w=692\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2911\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>You just need your creativity,the possibilities are endless!we used some scraps and cardboards that we already had at home at that&#8217;s the result!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"4000\" height=\"6000\" src=\"http:\/\/test.scrapsandcoffeegrounds.comwp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/dsc_0194-02.jpeg?w=683\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2913\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"3727\" height=\"5589\" src=\"http:\/\/test.scrapsandcoffeegrounds.comwp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/dsc_0222-02.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2912\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Hope you like it!Xx<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A cute craft for a new year.
